Furniture Styles and More

With a new member coming, Hub and I decided to finally bid our comfortable little living area good bye. Not ashame to say we have been staying with my folks for these few years in order to be around for their needs (them seeing their first grandchild) and to also "save" some money at the same round.

So we started the series of house hunting which is pretty tedious, however we found a pretty nice place that is northern east. Easily accessible to plenty of amenities, we agreed that we now found ourselves really a place we called our own.

Given my obsession of home and decor magazines, I decided I should do away with hiring an interior designer (most of the time, their carpenters and all are sub - contractors and ID jack up the price a little to supervise and coordinate).

The Hub has some plans, ie he really likes rusty style. So its going to be pretty exciting to see how the whole place come about.

Here's some ideas of what I have in mind for the master bedroom bed and sofa. (pics from john erdos)

Toilet Training Day to 5

So the toilet training continues. With the now huge belly and me in my final trimester, I find it getting exhausting. To be honest, I have inquire a few galfriends of mine who have older children and been through the whole toilet training.

From what I am hearing, it really depends on each individual kid. With a baby coming, I practically is on the verge of giving up. Not to mention, we have been going through with whining and crying.

Its not a pretty sight, imagine me who is close to 160 pounds right now half dragging a 40 pounds screaming toddler to the bathroom every night.

I really do not foresee her getting the idea anytime soon on she will need to go off the night diaper soon.

Toilet training at night for toddler - Day 2

Day 2 - once again an upset toddler with tears threatening to drop from her big eyes. I secretly think she feels we are both torturing her by waking her middle of the night just to head to the bathroom to pee.

This time round she is a little smarter - she simply says, "Mom, I need my diaper."

Smart lassie isn't she but its not going to work. Off to the bathroom we go - tears or not.
